Beyond the Walls

Optional tailor-made journeys between nature and poetry, beyond Dar Ahlam

Foum Zguid

Dunes Camp, Iriki Lake

For an unforgettable night departing from Dar Ahlam, this nomadic refuge is the camp of your dreams. The rolling sand dunes stretch endlessly around Iriki, a former salt lake where we have set up a luxurious tented retreat.

Let yourself slip into a new rhythm during the tea ceremony, as the sun bathes the desert in warm orange hues, leading into an intimate dinner by the fire.

During the hottest months, we move the camp to the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. Perfect for enjoying cooler air and gazing at the celestial dance of the stars as night falls.

A Berber Village in Full Renaissance

The ancient village of Tizkmoudine

This Berber village, located 3.5 hours from Dar Ahlam, is the first regenerative project of 700’000 Heures Impact. A few years ago, its inhabitants set out to breathe new life into the ksar, abandoned for over half a century, along with the remains of former noble houses and the faded splendor of a forgotten mosque.

Staying in this village is the very essence of the immersive hospitality we believe in.
An extraordinary opportunity to soak in Morocco’s ancestral culture and forge meaningful connections with the local community… before drifting off to sleep by the glow of a lantern and the warmth of a wood-burning stove.

In the Footsteps of the Amazighs

The Memory Road

For the most exhilarating experience, embark on our great Moroccan adventure: The Memory Road. An extraordinary nomadic odyssey from the shores of the Atlantic Ocean to the edge of the Sahara, following in the footsteps of the Amazighs, the “free people” who have roamed southern Morocco for millennia.

This exclusive journey, made up of five carefully curated stops, offers a rare opportunity to feel the pulse of Berber culture and meet its proud custodians.
(Reservations limited to 50 couples per year, either as a standalone journey or paired with a stay at Dar Ahlam at the beginning and end.)
